Book a slot with a calendar
A skill recipe that finds free slots in your calendar through an MCP tool, books the one the customer picks and schedules a reminder.
This recipe books appointments straight into your calendar. Your MCP tool needs actions to find free slots and create events.
When to use: the customer wants to book a service. Needs an MCP tool for your calendar, here "Google Calendar".
Steps
- Ask: the service and the day and time they prefer.
- Tool: Google Calendar, action find_free_slots.
- Tell: two or three free slots close to what they asked.
- If the customer picks a slot:
- Ask: their name and phone number.
- Tool: Google Calendar, action create_event.
- Tell: the booking summary.
- Tool: Schedule a follow-up, how: "remind them the day before".
- Else:
- Tool: Hand off to staff.

Ask the service and preferred time, check free slots with the find_free_slots action of my Google Calendar tool, offer two or three, and when they pick one ask name and phone, book it with create_event, confirm, and schedule a follow-up to remind them. If nothing fits, hand off to staff.
